Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff will be hosting the ‘Monster Family Day Out’ this Easter.
Packed full of exciting monster activities from prosthetic demos to Who challenges, the day has something for everyone to enjoy:
• Millennium FX workshops, including talks and demonstrations on how the monsters of Doctor Who are created, practical workshops and advice for people who want to get into the industry.
• Vortex Challenge – a game testing your knowledge of the world’s most famous Time Lord. Hosted by writer Cavan Scott.
• Monster Mash Creative Workshop, also with Cavan Scott.
• Miniature workshop hosted by special effects expert Mike Tucker.
• Photo opportunity with a Silent on the Silence Spaceship.
• Eggs-terminate station – design your own Doctor Who egg.
• Surprise appearances throughout the day.
Tickets to the event are free of charge with a valid DWE ticket for Wednesday, 16th April 2014. The event starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm.

Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay is to debut a new walk-through adventure, starring Peter Capaldi.
The Experience will close the current interactive walk-through in the autumn, which features Matt Smith.
"The new walk-through is currently in the early planning stages, with an exact date for the revamp yet to be set," a BBC spokesperson told Digital Spy.
The Day of the Doctor exhibit has now opened at the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff.
Props that feature in the exhibit so far, include:
• Matt Smith, David Tennant & John Hurt’s TARDIS and costumes.
• The Time Lord’s War room and costume.
• Billie Piper’s costume.
• Joanna Page’s Queen Elizabeth I costume.
• Moment Box.
• The returning Zygons.
Doctor Who Experience, Cardiff is open everyday during the Christmas holidays, apart from Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Halloween spook-tacular half-term treats confirmed for the Doctor Who Experience.
This October half-term, the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff will be preparing you for the scariest day of the year with a whole host of spine-tingling activities.
Held amongst the largest collection of Doctor Who monsters and props ever assembled, enjoy monster making classes, freaky face painting and pumpkin carving this October half-term.
On Halloween itself - Thursday, 31st October - prepare for some spooky surprises as not everything will be as it seems…
“Look…exactly where you don’t want to look… where you never want to look…the corner of your eye…”
Transformed into a haunted wonderland, the Doctor Who Experience will be the scariest place to be this half-term.
“You know when grown-ups tell you everything is going to be fine… and you think they are probably lying to make you feel better… Everything’s going to be fine.”
Tickets to the Doctor Who Experience on 31st October particularly will go fast, so book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Doctor Who Experience is bringing back TARDIS studio tours.
The TARDIS studio tour combo will be available from Friday, 25th October to Tuesday, 1st December as one of the ‘out-of this-world’ ticket options for you to choose from.
TARDIS Studio tickets for the 50th Anniversary day - Saturday, 23rd November - will be available to purchase on Thursday, 31st October due to additional ticket options available on that day.
